At the beginning of each month, both of our dogs are fed a pill that prevents heartworm disease and fleas. I ended up on the floor repeatedly handing Birdie hers, and then massaging her neck until she swallowed it. The cats also get an ointment put between their shoulder blades at the beginning of each month. They don't like the squirting sound. Each cat has it's own personality; some are easier.... I hold the cat. Alex squirts.
I would share with the audience that our first animal, Kitty, who is tail-less, had a pro-lapsed rectum so we put ointment on her boo-hine twice a day for quite some time. Should I worry about diapers, ladies? I think he's prepared.
